Overview
Splash screens are used to notify the user that the program is in the process of loading. A splash screen disappears when the application's main window/console appears.
This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to resolve instances where, when starting the EventsManager application, the splash screen remains on top of the console and does not disappear.
Prerequisites
Access to the EventsManager server will be required as will a restart of the EventsManager services.
Process

Stop the EventsManager services.

Navigate to the
..\Program Files (x86)\GFI\EventsManager2013folder. -
Create a backup of the
..\Program Files (x86)\GFI\EventsManager2013\plstatus.dllfile. -
Download the new
plstatus.dllfile.
(also provided as an attachment below). -
Unblock the downloaded file and then unzip/extract it.

Replace the current
plstatus.dllfile with the downloaded one. -
Restart the EventsManager Services.

Open the EventsManager Console.
Confirmation
The splash screen goes away when starting the EventsManager Console.
