Overview

GFI FaxMaker is configured to auto-print incoming faxes, but nothing is being printed automatically.

Root Cause

A service needs to be granted the appropriate rights in order to be able to submit a print job. To have GFI FAXmaker print automatically as a service, you must grant printing rights to the user login account that is used for the GFI Faxmaker Fax Server service. This is normally the default Administrator account.

Process

Perform the following steps to grant printing rights to the GFI Faxmaker Fax Server service login account:

1. Open the Printers menu on the GFI FaxMaker server machine and select the printer to be used for auto-printing.
2. Right-click on the printer and select Properties.
3. Select the Security tab.
4. Select Permissions.
5. Click the Add option.
6. Select the login account from the list, click on Add and give access to Print.
