When GFI FaxMaker instructs the attached CAPI fax device to dial a specific fax number, then an error at this phase is usually reported as a call failed: 46 in GFI FaxMaker monitor. This error means that no dial tone was detected when the capi device attempted to dial the fax number.
The following errors can be encountered when a fax is sent or received. For in- and outbound faxing using a CAPI fax device:
- Call Failed: 46
- fax number is either wrong or incomplete
- a prefix is required before the fax number. here
- a CLIP value is required to authenticate with the PBX: here
- TE-System XCAPI license expired: here
- LANCOM / Bintec CAPI profile is not compatible with PBX: here
- Settings for dialing options is incorrect in GFI FaxMaker: here
- ECM is not enabled in GFI FaxMaker / Bintec mediagateway: here
- Other reasons which the Support Technician needs to identify
