GFI FaxMaker 2014 and older

Process

Follow the steps mentioned below to change from Active Directory mode to SMTP mode (and vice versa):

1. Press Ctrl + R.

2. Enter regedit.exe and click OK.

3. Navigate to the following location:

   • 32 bit: HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\GFI Fax & Voice\FAXmaker\Config

   • 64 bit: HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Wow6432Node\GFI Fax & Voice\FAXmaker\Config

4. Change the REG_DWORD key called UserMode to the desired value as follows:

   • 1 for Active Directory

   • 3 for SMTP

Note:  After the registry change, you may need to change the GFI FaxMaker Service credentials and licensed users manually
