Overview

This article provides the steps on how to configure GFI FaxMaker to send SMS messages.

Process

In order to be able to send SMS messages from GFI FaxMaker without having a fax line configured, please perform the following steps:

1. Launch the registry editor by going to Start > Run and type regedit.
2. Browse to the path appropriate to your system.
   
   • For 32-bit:
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI Fax & Voice\FAXmaker\Config\E2FG
   • For 64-bit:
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI Fax & Voice\FAXmaker\Config\E2FG
3. Change the String value outdir from C:\Program Files\GFI\FAXmaker\out to
   C:\Program Files\GFI\FAXmaker\out\sms.
4. Close the registry.
5. Restart the GFI FaxMaker services.
6. Restart the IIS Admin service.
