Root Cause

 

The printer DLL files are corrupted or of the wrong version.

Process

 

Remove the FaxMaker printer and the printer drivers, then reinstall the printer. To do this:

1. Stop the GFI FaxMaker server service.
2. Navigate to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes and remove the FaxMaker printer.
3. From the File menu, select Server Properties.
4. Select the Drivers tab.
5. Remove FaxMaker from this list.
6. Open C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 and verify that anything with FaxMaker or FM is gone.
7. Restart the Print Spooler service.
8. Open C:\Program Files\GFI\FaxMaker and run FMprinter_install.cmd to reinstall the printer.
9. Restart the GFI FaxMaker server service.
