Userd Service Causing High CPU Warnings

Overview

If the Active Directory (AD) service in the Exinda is restarted, it can cause Userd to consume a lot of CPU resources, which results in high CPU warnings. This article provides a resolution to this error.

 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, restart the process by following the steps given below:

  1. Initiate a shell session and run the following commands:
    >en
    #conf t
    #service user restart
  2. To confirm the service is running, run the command:
    #show service
  3. Reset the warning on the Web UI and it should show up as "OK".
