Overview

The user receives email alerts for SMART errors. This article provides a resolution for this error.

Resolution

The resolution is to follow one of the following:

• If the user is on any firmware below 6.4.2 U2, they should upgrade to a later version. The reporting for SMART errors have been enhanced so that the users will not receive any false positive alarms.
• If the user is on 6.4.2U2 or above, please contact support and we will determine if the drive is faulty and requires an RMA.
