Restrict Speed per Host Using Dynamic Virtual Circuit

Overview

This article explains how to restrict/assign Speed per host using Dynamic Virtual Circuit.

Process

There are two ways to assign Speed per host using Dynamic Virtual Circuit:

  • Create a New Virtual Circuit (Configuration > Traffic Policies > Optimizer > Create New Virtual Circuit).
  • Edit an existing Virtual Circuit (Configuration > Traffic Policies > Optimizer > Actions (On the right-hand side of the VC you want to edit) > Edit).

In both cases, when a new window pops up for editing the Virtual Circuit, follow the steps given below:

  1. Under the "Bandwidth Options", select "Dynamic Virtual Circuit".
  2. Uncheck the option "No Bursting Allowed".
  3. Fill in the maximum speed you want to assign per host. It can be only assigned in kbps or in Percentage (%) of the total Bandwidth.
