Miss-Classification of Network Traffic in Virtual Circuit

Overview

When a particular Exinda is optimizing traffic of multiple WAN locations, sometimes the data in the Graph of Virtual Circuit 1 (VC-1) might show up in the Graph of VC-2.

All the data which is being shown in the Web UI of VCs are only collected and displayed when it hits a particular Subnet.

Root Cause

The main cause of this issue can be due to Subnet clash.

Resolution

While observing any kind of Mis-Classification of network traffic in VCs, ensure that:

  1. Subnets are correctly defined.

  2. Subnet Masks are correctly defined.

  3. None of the IP address inside the network falls under two subnets.
