Fiber Bridge Card on a 4010

Summary

This document explains the modes fiber cards should be in when using a 4010 Exinda

Overview

When using Fiber Bridge Cards on the Exinda, the LAN and WAN ports should be on the same modulation (single/multi)
The modulation should also be the same on the corresponding devices (router/firewall/switch)

Resolution

On a 4010 Exinda, the card support single mode modulation. Hence the router/switch or firewall the LAN and WAN ports connect to must have SFP's that support single mode and should be configured for the same.
Only this way Exinda will pass traffic in Active as well as in Bypass mode.
