Overview

The loopback interface on the Exinda Appliance can show high traffic.

You can find it under System > Diagnostics > NIC.

For example, the entry below shows that the loopback received and sent 5.7 TebiBytes.

Cause

The Exinda Appliance uses the loopback for internal communications process accessing services like the web server, the database server and acceleration.

Resolution

The high packets that are seen do not indicate an error, just normal Exinda operation.
