After 7.0.2, RADIUS users configured with “monitor” permissions cannot log into the mgmt. interfaces.

Overview

Customer configured admin users on his RADIUS server has normal access to the Exinda but with regards to his monitor users, they can't login to the unit form any site.

Cause

When user can initialled to create a new user session (username and password included in request body as form data), server tried to get details about the user Local accounts that can not be created with \ or / characters, but remotely authenticated accounts can contain these characters.
This makes a username of domain\name authenticated against a RADIUS server.

Workaround

Downgrade to version 6.4.x
In version 7, the web and CLI login doesn't work with the domain\user name;
in version 6, the web login works but the CLI login doesn't work with domain\username.

Resolution

The resolution is to upgrade to version 7.4
There is a fix for this issue in the version stated above.
