Overview

After upgrading to GFI MailEssentials 2014 SR1, items downloading from update.gfi.com or update.gfisoftware.com are failing to update.

The Audldownload log reports the following error:

"warning","audldownload","Failed to send https request: Last Error [12007]"

The following modules can fail to update due to this error:

• All Anti-virus engines
• Trojan and Executable
• Email Exploit
• Bayesian Analysis
• Anti-Phishing

Environment

GFI MailEssentails 2014 SR1, builds 20140224 and 20140308.

Resolution

1. Verify you are on the version and builds mentioned in this article.
2. Apply the following patch: ME2014_SR2_PATCH_20140526_1672.zip
3. Verify the product is updating successfully.
4. Upgrade to MailEssentials R2 or later (optional but recommended).
