How to Identify

Any changes/customizations done to this registry key to alleviate filetypes incorrectly being associated from the attachment filter will get overwritten during an upgrade and will return to their default values. This is working as designed but can be considered a design flaw.

Workaround / Fix Details

Put the file associations back into the registry key manually.

Required Actions

Inform the customer that this will be fixed in a later service release (likely SR4 or SR5) and attach this article to the case.
