How to Identify

Customer reports an increase of spam and the items are found on the auto-whitelist. The following registry key is missing information. 1)Open regedit and navigate to the following directory. 32bit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI\MailEssentials\Antispam\Config x64 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI\MailEssentials\Antispam\Config 2)Locate the Verify that the "awx_outofoffice key" is blank.

Workaround / Fix Details

1)Open regedit and navigate to the following directory. 32bit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI\MailEssentials\Antispam\Config x64 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI\MailEssentials\Antispam\Config 2)Locate the Open regedit and navigate to the following key "awx_outofoffice" 3)Double click and add the following string to the "Value data" section "Out of Office","Risposta automatica Fuori sede","Respuesta automática de Fuera de la oficina:","Absence du bureau","Afwezigheids","Abwesenheitsnotiz:" 4)Restart the gfi scan services Attach article to case

Required Actions

Follow the workaround steps above -If out of office replies are still getting added verify that the customer's out of office replies match the default strings, if not add the customers string to the value -Attach article to the case -Adding the key will correct the issue. Next release Service release 2 will have the registry entry fixed.
