Overview

This article describes the process to follow in case the below error message is displayed in the  PfTrainEWS log file when creating Public Folders.

The request failed schema validation: The element 'ParentFolderId' in namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/messages' has incomplete content. List of possible elements expected: 'FolderId, DistinguishedFolderId' in namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/ty

Root Cause

The issue can appear after the Exchange version is upgraded or public folders from another version of Exchange are used on a newer version.

Process

1. Create a public folder called GFI AntiSpam Folders.
2. Click the Scan Now button in Configuration > Anti Spam > Anti Spam Settings > Public Folder Scanning.
3. Confirm that the public subfolders have been created.
