Overview

When trying to access emails in the Spam Quarantine, you are unable to approve emails due to the error:

Error Q8: Access is denied

Environment

• GFI MailEssentials
• All supported environments

Root Cause

The cause of this error is incorrect permissions set on the virtual directory for the Spam Quarantine.

Resolution

Set the permissions on the \\GFI\MailEssentials\wwwconf folder. This will enable users to 'Read and Execute' files within the folder.
