Overview

This article describes the steps to configure the proxy server settings in GFI MailEssentials.

Resolution

1. From GFI MailEssentials Configuration go to General Settings > Settings and choose the Updates tab.
2. Check the Enable proxy server option.
   
   
   
   
3. In the Proxy server field, enter the name or IP address of the proxy server.
4. In the Port field, enter the port to connect on.
5. If the proxy server requires authentication, choose the option Enable proxy authentication and enter the Username and Password.
6. Click on Apply.
   
   

Confirmation

From GFI MailEssentials Configuration go to General Settings > Settings and choose the Updates tab. Verify that the configuration has been done successfully.
