The Old Administrator Email Address Still Receives Notifications After It Has Been Changed

Overview

This article describes the process to follow in case the previous administrator email that was configured continues receiving notifications after it has been changed to a new one.

 

Information

Environment

  • GFI MailEssentials.
  • All supported environments.

 

Process 

Changes to the administrator account require a re-start of the GFI MailEssentials services to take effect:

  1. Open GFI MailEssentials Configuration.
  2. Navigate to General Settings > Settings node.
  3. Locate the General tab.
  4. Under the Administrator email section, update to the new administrator email address.
  5. Re-start all GFI MailEssentials services.
