PROBLEM

GFI MailEssentials notification emails are blocked by GFI MailEssentials, such as this notification:

-[SPAM] - Administrative Notification: GFI EmailSecurity detected a threat. - Found word(s) order now as seen on in the HTML body."

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI MailEssentials
  • all supported environments

SOLUTION

  1. Open GFI MailEssentials configuration
  2. Navigate to the following tab General Settings  >  Settings > Local Domains tab
  3. Remove any .LOCAL domains from list of local domains

CAUSE

Inclusion of the .local domain in General > General Settings > Inbound Email Domains was causing the email to be blocked.
