End Of Line Characters on UTF-8 Emails Are Not RFC Compliant

Overview

Whenever the Disclaimers are enabled and the character set of the email is UTF-8, LF (not RFC compliant) is used as EOL (End Of Line) instead of CR LF (RFC compliant).

In order to identify the issue, send a UTF-8 formatted email with the GFI Disclaimers enabled and look for the LF end of line characters.

Environment

GFI MailEssentials 2015.

Resolution

  • Set the character set to US-ASCII.
  • If you are not able to resolve the issue, please contact GFI Customer Support for assistance.
