The products mentioned above include an antivirus auto updating recovery feature called Emergency Recovery Procedure (ERP). If  there is a failure to unload any of the antivirus scanning engines during an update, ERP is triggered and will automatically restart the following service in order to apply the failed update:

• GFI MailEssentials: GFI MailEssentials AV Scan Engine Service

If you have received this email notification, the service attempted an automatic restart to recover from this failure, but this restart attempt was not successful. When this happens, it is recommended to contact GFI Technical Support.
