Folder Not Found Error When Trying to Add a Journal Mailbox in a Non-English Environment

Overview

Users encounter the following error message when trying to add the Journal Mailbox in a non-English installation:

Folder Not Found

Environment

  • MailArchiver 
  • All supported environments

Root Cause

When an Exchange server is installed in a different language rather than English, the Inbox is configured in the installation language.

Resolution

If the user has installed a non-English version of Exchange:
  • The Journal Mailbox with the name INBOX in the Folder field must be renamed.
  • The name must be set according to the language in which Exchange was installed when adding the Journal Mailbox to the Mail Servers to Archive screen.
