Problem Summary

When editing the Mailboxes to Archive (restrictions) list it displays empty when a user containing the character " in their name had previously been added

TT / JIRAID

1940

How to Identify

1. Customer reports that when editing the Mailboxes to Archive list (the restrictions list) it opens empty (without any existing records being displayed) 2. The existing list contains a user which has the " character (double quotation mark) in their name (e.g. Joseph D"Emanuele) Check ASPNET\UI\Debuglogs\webhelper.log for display names which contain the character in question. Notes: 1. Be careful saving the empty list. It would overwrite existing entries. 2. This is very similar to article 8591 / TT1740 which covered the same situation for MARC 2013 SR1 and the character ' (single quotation mark)

Workaround / Fix Details

Fixed in MARC2014 build 20140616 ---- WORKAROUND: Make use of groups in the Mailboxes to Archive list and maintain its members rather than the list in MailArchiver. Or Edit the display names of the users who contain a " in it in AD (most likely ' should have been used in the first place.
