How to Identify

If the admin configures the index path within the Archive Store profile to point to the root of a drive in the format : (e.g. d: - note that it is NOT ending in a backslash!) MailArchiver will create indexes successfully, but when the Search service is restarted such indexes will appear as invalid. ..\Search\DebugLogs\Index.log 2014-04-10,16:27:55,039,1,"#00000D88","#00000009","error ","Index","error: Failed to access settings file D:2014 Jan - Feb\index.xml: System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: A Dos path must be rooted, for example, 'c:\'.

Workaround / Fix Details

Fixed in MARC2014 build 20140616 ----- For archive stores which will be created in the future: Edit the Archive Store profile. Set the index path to a subfolder of a drive (e.g. d:\Indexes) For already created archive stores: Either edit the affected Archive Stores via the Archive Stores page and add the missing backslash character behind : or fix the corresponding entries directly in ..\Core\Data\MArcSettings.xml.
