Error: 'Failed during: Retrieving Database Schema Type Details: Database not supported' when attaching a Microsoft SQL Server based Archive Store

PROBLEM

When attaching a Microsoft SQL based Archive Store you receive the error:

Failed during: Retrieving Database Schema Type
Details: Database not supported.

..\Store\Debug\ManagementProviders.log shows database schema version is higher than the schema version of the installed build.

"info ","ManagementProviders","(MSSql) Database version [44], Latest schema version [43]" 

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI Archiver 
  • Microsoft SQL Server

SOLUTION

Upgrade to the latest version and build of GFI Archiver.

CAUSE

Once a database schema has been upgraded, it can be only attached the build matching the schema version or newer builds.
