Objective

This article clarifies paywalled updates and LanGuard's support for deploying them.

Information

Certain application vendors have placed application updates or extended security updates behind paywalls. As these updates are behind a paywall and are not available publicly, they will not be added to the LanGuard definitions. As such, LanGuard will not scan for or be able to perform automatic deployment for updates behind these paywalls. 

LanGuard is still capable of helping to deploy these updates across the network to save time rather than having to deploy to each machine individually. This can be performed by using the Custom Software Deployment feature built into the Remediation Center of LanGuard.
