Why does the installation of GFI LanGuard not remove previous versions? ( ONLY)

If upgrading from a GFI LanGuard version earlier than 2012 the upgrade will leave the previous version in place. This behavior is by design and should give the customer a transition period from the old to the new version due to the major changes this version includes. Once the customer is fully accustomed to the new version of LanGuard, the previous version can be manually uninstalled.

NOTE: Both versions can work side by side on the same server AND agents from version 2011 can work side by side with the new version's agent..

NOTE: This behavior also occurs with Languard 12. It will create new Languard 12 directories and databases and only use the other files if you choose to import.
