Answer
GFI LanGuard tries to scan computers that are not connected to the network when scheduled scan are configured. This occurs in two different scenarios:
- Computer has agent installed: If the computer is switched on but is not connected to the network, the agent performs the scan and send the 'Scan complete' status to the LanGuard console when the connection is restored. The main application connects to the agent, collects the scan result as XML file and import it into the main database.
- Scheduled scan configured in the main installation: If the scan is configured from the GFI LanGuard console and have the option Wait for offline machines to connect to the network, the scan takes place when GFI LanGuard detects the computers back online.
