Overview

This article provides the steps required to exclude certain workstations or servers from being scanned by GFI LanGuard.

Information

To exclude specific devices (workstations or servers) from scans by GFI LanGuard, please follow these instructions:

1. Open the GFI LanGuard console.
2. Click the Scan tab.
3. To the right of the 'Scan Target' dropdown box, click the Computers Group icon shown below:
   
4. Enter the IP Addresses or IP range of systems you want to exclude, in the 'Except for the computers that satisfy the following rules' configuration page.
   For the list of computers to scan, you can specify specific IP Addresses or IP ranges. To exclude a system, leave the IP Address of that system out of this list. The same applies when scanning computers using a text file.
