Overview

GFI LanGuard 11 Attendant Service crashes after the following auto-update was applied:

Configuration Module version 4 Publish Date 23/05/2014

Replication of the Issue:

The following auto-update was released 2014-05-23:
Name: Configuration Module
Version: 4
Publish Date: 23/05/2014

When this auto-update is applied to LanGuard 2014 R2 build 20140512 it causes the GFI LanGuard 11 Attendant Service to crash and not being able to start anymore.

Confirm When the Update Was Applied: 

1. Installation is on Build 20140512 - The trouble.txt file shows that crmimodule.dll in folder
   C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\LanGuard 11 Agent\ has a modified date from the 22nd of May 2014 - one day before the update was originally published on the auto-update system.
2. Make sure to check the correct column:

Resolution

The fix for this issue is available in LanGuard 2015 (version 11.4 - build 20150130).
NOTE: Upgrade GFI LanGuard when necessary.
