Answer
If the antivirus being used within your organization is not found in the default list of antivirus scanners in GFI LanGuard, it is possible to include the additional antivirus applications into the GFI LanGuard. This can be done by manually editing the following XML file:
<...\ProgramData\GFI\LANguard XX\PatchManagement\security_updates.xml> on Windows 2008/7
This file contains one section for each product beginning with the product name, including all information necessary to detect whether the Anti-Virus definitions are up to date and where to download the update files. Each product section is clearly recognized by the following comments within the XML file:
<!--Product Start-->
....
....
....
<!--Product stop -->
The easiest way of adding another product would be do copy another product section and alter all necessary information to comply with the requirements of the new product.
IMPORTANT: GFI does not provide any support for this kind of alteration nor the information necessary to discover and update virus definitions other than the default.
NOTE: Detailed information on the structure of the XML code to be used can be found in the first security product details within the security_updates.xml file.
