Overview

The following error message is displayed when opening the WebMonitor user interface:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Environment

• GFI WebMonitor 2009
• GFI WebMonitor 2011

Root Cause

This issue is caused because of the security policies in Internet Explorer.

Resolution

This issue can be fixed by adding a WebMonitor access link to the list of Internet Explorer trusted sites:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Navigate to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites
3. Type http://127.0.0.1 and click the Add button.
4. Close all Internet Explorer and WebMonitor instances to apply the changes.
