Overview

When trying to edit the GFI WebMonitor configuration, the following error message is displayed:

Error: The anti-forgery token could not be decrypted. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that all machines are running the same version of ASP.NET Web Pages and that the <machineKey> configuration specifies explicit encryption and validation keys. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.

Environment

• GFI WebMonitor.
• All supported environments.

Root Cause

This error will occur if the GFI WebMonitor interface is open and the GFI WebMonitor Core Service stops.

Resolution

1. Close the GFI WebMonitor page.
2. Restart the GFI Proxy Service.
3. Restart the GFI WebMonitor Core Service.
