Overview

This article provides the steps to determine if the attached fax modem supports voice mode.

Process

1. Open a HyperTerminal session on the machine.

2. Type the command AT#CLS=? and press enter. 

If the value 8 or 80 is returned by the attached modem, then voice mode is supported and therefore DTMF is supported.
