Overview

GFI FaxMaker failed to copy the fax to (share name) as specified in the configuration resulting in the following error:

Windows error code: 0x2

The fax has been moved to C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\FaxMaker\backup2folder. A domain name change or a permission issue prevents FaxMaker from saving the inbound faxes to a network share location. This article provides information on fixing this FaxMaker issue.

Root Cause

Service account assigned to the GFI FaxMaker services did not have access to the folder on the network share.

Resolution

Add the service account used on the FaxMaker services to the network share folder location.

Confirmation

New faxes will be saved to the specified share.
