Brooktrout Cards Supported by GFI FaxMaker

Overview

This article indicates which Brooktrout cards GFI FaxMaker supports.

Information

  • GFI FaxMaker only supports Microsoft Server 2012 R2 with the FaxMaker version 2014 and later using the Brooktrout Driver 6.7.0 or later.

  • Dialogic no longer supports any SDK prior to the version 6.7.0.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and prior IS NOT supported by Dialogic for SDK 6.7.0 and later.

  • Brooktrout SDK 6.7.1 and later (Included with GFI FaxMaker 2015) have added support for analog low profile TR1034 boards.

  • The cards and devices mentioned in this article are supported on the latest GFI FaxMaker version. Older versions may not support all the cards mentioned.

  • GFI FaxMaker was only tested with each card separately. If the user is using multiple cards/devices, they will need to check with the manufacturer of the respective cards to ensure that there are no incompatibilities.

  • Refer to the Brooktrout website for additional technical information on specifications of the Brooktrout cards.

Additional Information for Brooktrout TR1034 Series

  • The TR1034 T1 & E1 cards require that the 'wait for dial-tone' option is unchecked and the 'rings to answer' option is set to 1.
  • Multiple TR1034 cards in one machine are supported.
  • Older TR1034 models that are non-RoHS compliant are also supported.

  • Brooktrout TruFax 200-R BRI (1 digital BRI Euro-ISDN interface, 2 channels) [1]
  • Brooktrout TruFax 250-R BRI (1 digital BRI Euro-ISDN interface, 2 channels) [1]
  • Brooktrout TruFax 400-R BRI (2 digital BRI Euro-ISDN interface, 4 channels) [1]
  • Brooktrout TruFax 450-R BRI (2 digital BRI Euro-ISDN interface, 4 channels) [1]
  • Brooktrout TruFax 100-R PCI (1 analog loop-start line)
  • Brooktrout TruFax 100E PCI (1 analog loop-start line)

Additional Information for Brooktrout TruFax (RoHS compliant) Series

  • The GFI FaxMaker Brooktrout Trufax Series uses the same driver as the GFI FaxMaker for the Brooktrout TR1034 Series cards.
  • Brooktrout TR1034+E2-2L HALF, TR1034+E4-4L, and Brooktrout TruFax 200E HALF boards will reach End of Life on March 31, 2021.
  • Brooktrout TR1034+E8-8L, TR1034+E4C HALF, and TR1034+E4D HALF fax boards will reach End of Life on June 30, 2021.
  • Brooktrout TR114 series boards are no longer supported by GFI FaxMaker.
  • Brooktrout TruFax (Non-RoHS compliant) Series boards are no longer supported by GFI FaxMaker.
  • GFI FaxMaker 2011 was the final version of FaxMaker to offer support for older style, Non-RoHS compliant Brooktrout TruFax series boards.
  • The GFI FaxMaker Brooktrout Trufax (Non-RoHS compliant) Series driver is the same GFI FaxMaker driver for the following Brooktrout TR114 Series cards.
    • Brooktrout TruFax 100 uPCI (1 analog loop-start line).
    • Brooktrout TruFax 200 uPCI (2 analog loop-start lines).
    • TruFax BRI cards mentioned in the article previously.
    • RoHS compliant TruFax cards mentioned in the article previously.
  • Multiple TruFax cards in one machine are supported.
  • All analog Brooktrout cards support DTMF (Dual Tone - Multi-Frequency).

Brooktrout SR140 virtual device (Software-only Fax-over-IP fax platform)

GFI FaxMaker supports it when used in conjunction with a compatible VoIP gateway or SIP trunk. See the Dialogic website for more information on SR140 interoperability.
