PROBLEM
The sender of the fax email requests receives a non-delivery report e-mail message stating that the email is too large. The following are sample NDR messages :
This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's mailbox is full. Create a shorter message body or remove attachments and try sending it again.

SOLUTION
Check Microsoft Exchange for message size limits
1. Microsoft Exchange 2003
1. In the Exchange Server Manager: First Administrative Group > Servers > [Server] > Protocols > SMTP
2. Right-click Default SMTP Virtual Server and select 'Properties'
3. Select the Messages tab and either increase the size limits or disable them but unchecking the box
4. Click 'OK' and close out of the Exchange Server Manager

2. Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010/2013
1. In the Exchange Management Console: Organization Configuration > Hub Transport > Global Settings > Transport Settings
2. Right-click Transport Settings and select 'Properties'
3. Under the 'General' tab, increase the size limit or disable them by unchecking the Maximum send and receive size boxes

- Note: It may be necessary to restart IIS or the Microsoft Exchange Transport Service after modifying settings above
Additional Note: If you are using another mail server, you need to check the documentation for your mail server and ensure that any message size restrictions are configured higher then your maximum fax message size
