PROBLEM

Although four fax channels are available, GFI FaxMaker utilizes only two fax channels at the same time.

ENVIRONMENT

• GFI FaxMaker
• LANCOM 1700 Series

SOLUTION

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Navigate to GFI FaxMaker root folder
3. Open capi.dev and search for the CAPI device
   • e.g.: LANCOM 1700 Series
4. Increase threshold value for parameter -o: from value 2 to value 4
5. Restart GFI FaxMaker Server service

CAUSE

The parameter -o with the value 2 sets the threshold for GFI FaxMaker to utilize only two channels (for sending / receiving) at the same time. The threshold can be increased if additional lines are available.
