Overview

This article details the troubleshooting steps in-case you are observing significantly more traffic under Monitor >Interfaces than other Graphs, for example, Control Graphs.

Resolution

Verify that the issue is not caused by the default internal-to-internal ignore configuration:

• Disable the ignore internal-to-internal ignore from Configuration >  System > Setup > Monitoring. 

• If this was the case, then you should be able to see what traffic is causing the issue and address it accordingly.

Gather a tcpdump:

• Gather and analyze the tcpdump to verify what type of traffic is actually flowing when the issue is reported.

• Some traffic is not reflected on the Exinda like layer 2 traffic. So there is a possibility this is layer 2 broadcasts.

• If this is the case, the captures should give you an idea of which device was sending the broadcasts.
