• GFI MailEssentials can be installed on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
• Emails will be scanned using the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) event sinks if GFI MailEssentials is installed in a gateway mode.
• Virus Scan Application Programming Interface (VSAPI) scanning will not be available because the mailbox store is not accessible.
