Overview

After upgrading to MailEssentials 2012 build 20130417, the quarantine URL in the switchboard is overwritten with a default value retrieved from IIS (Internet Information Services). This is noticed in the following ways:

• The URL in the switchboard for the quarantine is not accessible outside of the server.
• The link in the quarantine digest is different after the upgrade.

Environment

GFI MailEssentials 2012 build 20130417.

Resolution

Change the URL back to the publicly accessible URL manually through the switchboard and upgrade to the latest build of GFI MailEssentials 2015.
