Manually Updating GFI Archiver License

Update your license key using the GFI Archiver configuration section before attempting to update it manually.

Follow these steps to update manually:

1. Open the services.msc file.
2. Stop all GFI Archiver services.
3. Navigate to ...Program Files\GFI\Archiver\Core\Data\.
4. Make a backup of the MarcSettings.xml file.
5. Open the original file in your preferred text editor.
6. Locate the <Licensing> section and review the information for the tag <Key>.
   
   
   
7. Update the information in the <Key> tag by entering your new license key as obtained from the GFI Accounts Portal.
8. Save the MarcSettings.xml file.
9. Restart all GFI Archiver services.

Confirmation

1. Launch the console.
2. Confirm the new license key information by going to Configuration > Change License Key. 

Note: In case of any issues, repeat the steps and back up the MarcSettings.xml file in use.
