How to Identify
The UI indicates that the FAA license has expired: - when using an evaluation license key (as this has no SMA set) - when using a regular license key of which the SMA has expired ---- Background: There is an assumption in UI that if the SMA is expired, FAA will be marked as expired. The issue affects UI only. The product will still function correctly.
Workaround / Fix Details
This is an issue in the UI only - the functionality itself is not affected. The FAA can still be used as normal. Option 1: Ignore the UI and use the FAA as usual Option 2: If an old key is currently entered into GFI Archiver which has its SMA expired, but the customer has a newer with which still has SMA - enter the newer key Option 3: If Sales issues a license key which has a valid SMA, it would address stop the UI showing that the FAA licensing expired
Required Actions
Inform the customer that this is an UI issue only and that the FAA can still be used as normal.
