Environment

  • GFI Archiver
  • All supported environments

Root Cause

A conflicting DLL file is present in the Windows directory.

Resolution

  1. Remove the file fmcmn_rc.dll from:
    • 32bit: C:\Windows\System32
    • 64bit: C:\Windows\SysWOW64
  2. Restart all GFI Archiver services.

Note: Only a single copy of this file should exist in ..\InstallationFolder\Core\ (and maybe in the program folders of other GFI programs if installed on the same host).
