PROBLEM

A shortcut / bookmark pointing to the product website fails to open after upgrading to GFI MailArchiver 2011 or newer.

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI MailArchiver 2011 or newer
  • All supported environments

SOLUTION

  1. Right click the shortcut
  2. Select the Web Document tab
  3. Ensure that the URL points to: http://servername/MailArchiver/
  4. Click Apply and then OK
  5. Open the shortcut

CAUSE

In GFI MailArchiver 2011 the default page was moved from http://servername/MailArchiver/main.aspx to archive.aspx. If the shortcut / bookmark points to main.aspx the site will not load in GFI MailArchiver 2011 or newer.
