Overview

This article describes the error and its resolution, which occurs when you navigate to Home > Status Overview > Services, and it shows the following error:
SMTP: Notifications are failing to be sent (large emails)

Environment

• GFI Archiver
• All supported environments

Root Cause

GFI Archiver cannot submit emails successfully as the configured mail server is rejecting them due to their size.

Resolution

GFI Archiver keeps emails which are to be sent via SMTP (for example, MailInsights reports or emails which a user tried to restore) in the mentioned folder on disk until they are successfully submitted via SMTP. The goal of this solution is to remove emails which are too large to be sent:

1. Open the folder: ..\InstallationFolder\Core\SMTP
2. Check all sub-folders for large files and remove them.
