Reference Databases Used for Vulnerability Detection

LanGuard performs vulnerability detection during default scans.

Irrespective of the LanGuard version that you are using, the scans perform vulnerability detection from the Oval Repository. It then cross-references the data with the National Vulnerability Database for metadata, such as vulnerability ratings.

Combined data from these databases allows the scan to create the checks and display the reported vulnerability on the LanGuard console.
