How to remove the Gfi WebMonitor Agent

For information on how to remove the GFI WebMonitor agent follow the steps below:

1. Locate Add/remove programs from the Control panel > Uninstall GFI WebMonitor Agent
2. Navigate and delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\WebMonitor Agent folder
3. Open Regedit and Locate the follow registry keys and delete them
   32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI\WebMonitorAgent
   64 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI\WebMonitorAgent

If GFI WebMonitor Agent is not listed in the Registry a Manual uninstall might be required:

1. Open the Command Prompt at elevated privileges(Right Click run as Admin)
2. Navigate to the Web Monitor agent install directory ..\GFI\WebMonitor Agent\Interceptor
3. Un-Register the Wtismon.dll with:  regsvr32 -u Wtismon.dll
4. Open Regedit and delete the following registry keys(always back up your registry before deleting)

• 32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI\WebMonitorAgent
• 64 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI\WebMonitorAgent
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\WebMonAgent

1. In Windows Explorer navigate and delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\WebMonitor Agent folder
2. Reboot the machine to apply the changes
